Straighten your hair naturally with tension rollers

Women with curly hair are often on the lookout for new products and tools, to style their natural locks. Hair straightening has become the latest fad, which almost every girl with curly hair has tried at some point in their lives. A variety of methods exist to straighten curly hair, such as using a flat iron or chemical relaxer. Tension rollers or hair rollers are a natural alternative to straighten your hair. Most people commonly associate using a tension roller to curl their hair; but very few are aware of the fact that you can even use them to straighten your hair! These rollers are safer to use than the modern methods of blow drying and flat iron, since they use minimal to no heat, which is not damaging to the hair. The hair roller is used to stretch and smoothen the hair, while it dries to give straight tresses. It creates the same results you would achieve, while using a flat iron.

If you want to straighten your hair using these rollers, always go for the biggest size rollers you can get. These will ensure maximum stretch, add volume to your hair and temporarily get rid of the natural curls. This method of tautly stretching the hair and securing it with bobby pins utilizes tension and has excellent smoothening effects, which cannot be achieved with a flat iron or blow-dryer.  However, it does take some experience to get this technique perfect. If done correctly, the tension created in the rollers will take advantage of your hair’s dampness and allow the hair to be molded into perfect straightness. You also have to take care that you use the correct tools and methods, to ensure your hair wraps perfectly on the roller.

One major drawback of straightening hair with a flat iron or blow dryer is that the hair becomes largely stiff and lacks any movement. This can be prevented using hair rollers. The unique curved structure of a hair roller allows the hair to have some flow and bounce. Additionally, the lack of heat also ensures that the hair does not lose its moisture. For people with extremely curly hair, may have to undergo a couple of sessions of straightening, with a flat iron to get perfectly straightened hair. This means adding more heat, which can cause increased damage to your locks. Some people prefer to use a combination of both: straighten the hair by rolling it with a hair roller and pins then apply mild heat to keep the locks in place. This is the most common straightening procedure performed by professionals in the salon, for women with luscious curly locks.

No matter what hair style you want to achieve, tension rollers are the way to go! They are the perfect and natural curler straightener, which works on any hair type and causes no damage. If you are unsure of how to use hair rollers on your hair, lots of tutorials and videos showing step-by-step techniques are available online.
